GEORGES JOUVE (1910-1964) "Cylindre, très grand format" design circa [1955]. Very large cylindrical vase. Black glazed ceramic proof, outside and inside. Circa 1950. Signed JOUVE and monogrammed A. P. (with interlaced letters) for Apollon, the so-called Alpha mark, on the reverse under glaze. Height: 25.7 cm - Diameter: 30.5 cm Two small enamel chips on the inner edge of the rim, seven tiny dents causing enamel to chip around the rim, limestone inside. Provenance : Succession X., Puy-de-Dôme, from the complete furnishings of a 1960s architect's house.
