WANDA SIKORA. Pair of brown, black and cream checkerboard clip-on earrings. Diameter: 36/37 mm. Clip or snowshoe system. Wanda Sikora, originally from Poland, moved to eastern France to create handmade jewelry on a flexible resin base, making them very light. In 1990, in response to a request from a fashion designer friend to enhance his collection, she created a series of highly successful accessories, using gold leaf, dried flower and herb inlays to create miniature paintings in vivid colors. These include earrings, rings, hair clips, necklaces, brooches and pendants.
