BANCAL DES ISSARTS (Jean- Henri). Du Nouvel Ordre Social fon - Lot 462
BANCAL DES ISSARTS (Jean- Henri). Du Nouvel Ordre Social fondé sur la Religion. P., Baudouin, 1796; in-8. 355pp. Bradel blue vat paper boards, pdt paper. First edition and principal work by this Parisian, who returned to Clermont at the start of the Revolution to enter politics. There, he founded a Société des Amis de la Constitution (Society of Friends of the Constitution), which enabled him to be elected to the Convention in the Girondin party, and then to the Conseil des Cinq-Cents (Council of Five Hundred). After the publication of "Du nouvel ordre social", he seems to have withdrawn from public life.
