PIERRE FEITU. Large "Art Nouveau" oval-shaped plate with woman's profile in relief on yellow gold (750 thousandths). Eagle head hallmark.
Back with trace of a line, oxidation, scratches and a small drill hole.

Pierre Feitu was born in Mûr-de-Bretagne in 1868 (sculptor, medallist and goldsmith). He began his studies at the Beaux-Arts in 1899 and became a well-known sculptor, medallist and goldsmith in New York and Mexico. He produced large busts and memorials of Louis J. Heintz (founder of the Bronx in New York) and the bust of President Porfirio Diaz of Mexico.
