CHINA - Late GUANGXU period (1875 - 1908) Two "shangping" vases, possibly forming a pair, in turquoise-blue enameled porcelain with gold enamel decoration of two dragons facing each other around a sacred pearl among clouds, the shoulder decorated with stylized "shou" characters among lotus flowers on a spiral background, the neck decorated with dragons in clouds. The upper rim is decorated with a lingzhi frieze. On the reverse, the apocryphal mark of Qianlong. (gold wear, one with chipped neck). h. 38 and 38.5 cm
