DINH VAN. Seventies" model necklace adorned with an openwork silver disc (925 thousandths) with its elongated link chain. Signed Dinh Van 950 maker's mark. Scratches from use. Disc diameter: 39 mm. Size of links: 8 x 3 mm. Link length Chain length: 80.6 cm. PB: 21.6 g (Scratches from use. Small deformations: edge missing). Includes large black case. Born in Paris to a French mother and a Vietnamese lacquerer father, Jean Dinh Van (1927) worked at Cartier, then with Jean Schlumberger. He founded his own house in Paris, with its sober, pure lines. He worked with Pierre Cardin, Cartier New-York and De Beers.
